The lighter has the ignition nozzle (101) made of a springy material and attached to the HV generator (100). A nozzle tip belonging to the ignition nozzle is fixed to an insulating retaining frame (103) near the gas nozzle (102) so that it deforms the HV generator when it moves to and fro. From the front end of the ignition nozzle electrical energy is discharged in the direction of the gas nozzle. The ignition nozzle consists of a soft metal e.g. phospher bronze. The casing (116) that holds the hammer (118) of the HV generator is made in one piece with a lateral projection (116A) from an electrically conducting resin.
