A steel structure for an offshore platform, the steel structure being constructed as a plate-stiffened design and including a plurality of modules arranged on above the other and a supporting framework comprising a plurality of vertically extending columns of chamberlike construction which carry the total load of the modules, wherein each moduld has a plurality of the vertically extending columns extending either at its periphery or inside it, wherein the load carrying columns are connected by load carrying walls of the modules and by horizontal beams, and wherein at least one of the modules extends over a plurality of different levels with each pair of adjacent levels being separated by a horizontal deck.
