Process for producing from concrete a slightly conical container which is open at the top, a mould cavity being formed between a mantle and a core and the container being shaped therein from free-flowing concrete. Once the concrete has set, the finished container is removed from the mould. The amount of concrete required for the container is introduced into the mantle. Following this, the core is inserted into the mantle and immersed in the concrete, the concrete rising in the mould cavity. Once the concrete has set, the container is drawn, with the core as a manipulator, out of the mantle, which for this purpose is subjected to air from below. Thereafter, the container is taken off the core. An apparatus for carrying out the process is also specified. IMAGE
