A device for sampling sediments (17) from the sea bottom, comprising a tubular body (1), one end of which is provided externally with guiding ribs (2) adapted to ensure the vertical position of the body during its descent in the water, the other end of which is externally chamfered to facilitate the penetration of the tubular body (1) into the sediments, and comprising a no-return flap (10) for closing the central channel (6) of the tubular body, thus allowing to retain the sediments penetrated therein, characterized in that said central channel (6) comprises two electrically controlled valves (9, 11) close to the two ends, the upper valve (9) being controlled for closing by a detector (12), which detects the presence of sediments in the channel at a level slightly lower than the upper valve, and the lower valve (11) being located below said flap (10) and controlled by a detector (14), which indicates whether the device has left the sea bottom.
