Process for disposing of sodium sulphate having a high water of crystallisation content, in particular of wastes of flue gas desulphurisation in the combustion of high-sulphur fossil fuels, for example of low-grade coal
In a process for disposing of sodium sulphate having a high water of crystallisation content, in particular of liquid to semi-solid sodium sulphate in saturated solution and as wastes containing solution sediments of flue gas desulphurisation in the combustion of high-sulphur fossil fuels, for example of low-grade coal, according to a first solution of the invention, it is provided that a paste of mortar-like consistency is produced from the material to be disposed of and fly ash, serving as sorption medium, having latent hydraulic properties and to this paste, for solidification, is added either an organic binder composed of a mixed polymer of styrene and butadiene in aqueous dispersion having a water content of approximately 47 to 50% and a weight fraction in the mixture of approximately 2 to 6%, or a hydraulic binder having a weight fraction of approximately 6 to 7%, or a mixture of both binders, whereupon the mass is spread in the plastic state or is poured into moulds to form blocks and then hardens.
