In order to achieve adaptation of the twin wheels to unevenness in the ground or a certain amount of terrain running of these twin wheel sets even in the case of twin wheel sets of small construction for mobile lifting and setting-down devices for transportable large containers, the twin wheels are mounted by their hubs (28) on a hub carrier (24) which surrounds the wheel axle (19), attached rigidly to a wheel bow (14), with radial play. Furthermore, the hub carrier (24) is connected securely against rotation to the wheel axle (19) in its central region (21) and is arranged so as to be tiltable about a bearing pin (22) arranged transversely to the wheel axle (19). As a result, both twin wheels can in each case remain in ground contact, even in the case of unevenness in the ground or sloping ground, and jointly bear the load on the ground. IMAGE
