Vacuum distillation unit with an electrically controlled bypass between concentrate pump pressure line and vacuum distillation vessel

In vacuum distillation units, in order to prevent both the jamming of the concentrate pump by solids precipitating out of the medium to be concentrated and also to retain the pumpability of concentrated media of relative high density, an electrically controlled bypass is inserted between the pressure line of the concentrate pump and the vacuum distillation vessel. When the bypass valve is open, the concentrate pump is switched on automatically by an electrical controller regularly for a certain time, as a result of which jamming is prevented. Media of relatively high density can be pumped out from the vacuum if the concentrate pump runs for a certain time with the bypass open before the medium is pumped off.
