The invention relates to a method of generating shock waves intracorporally as a result of a laser-induced break-through of a suitable matter in a liquid rinsing medium for the purpose of crushing objects with a laser beam transmitted by a light guide, in which a combination of UV laser beam and IR laser beam is employed.
