Cumulative shot count recording system for pistol - uses IC memory contained within pistol supplied with count pulse each time pistol is fired

The system uses a non-erasable IC element (5) contained within the pistol, used to record the total number of fired shots together with specific data for the weapon. The information held by the IC element (5) can be interrogated by an external electronic evaluation device. Pref. the IC element (5) is supplied by a battery (6) also incorporated in the pistol, with a sensor (8) providing a signal each time the pistol is fired for updating the recorded count. Pref. the sensor (8) is coupled to the IC via a filter (9), a pulse former (10) and a control logic (11). ADVANTAGE - Provides exact record of total number of shots fired.
