Finishing, milling and levelling unit for sheets and metal strip (51) has a finishing and milling stage (20) whereby the milling and levelling are accomplished without positive or negative slippage between the material (51) and the levelling rollers (1 to 19). The roller stand has a pair of working rollers (40) and two intermediary rollers (39) mounted via support roller carriers (38) in a built-in frame (35). Between these carriers (38) and frame (35) a flexible, deformable base plate (36) is positioned. This plate facilitates coupling between the material (51) and frame (35) via the working rollers (40), intermediary rollers (39) and the support roller carriers.
