The device for hydraulic tensioning of saw blades in frame-saws is characterised by having the smooth bearing surface (7) of the hydraulic tensioner (6) facing upwards, and the transverse struts (9) bearing the saw-blade tangs (8) lie on it. The tension surface (10) faces downwards, and the tensioning pistons (11) of the hydraulic tensioner which can travel out downwards from it are supported adjustable in height against the frame-beam of the saw (1). USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides for much easier installation and tensioning of sawblades in frame-saws.
