The bell (3) yoke is made integral with an annular or sector form reaction element (2). This is effectively the rotor of an induction motor formed in combination with one or two linear motor stator drive units (1). The electrical drive control circuits include triac power control which gives smooth amplitude variation, a reversing switch and monitor elements for position and speed of the bell. USE/ADVANTAGE - Smooth remote control minimising problems of wear through use of induction drive.
