摘要
The tooth flank finishing involves a gear type tool with abrasive flanks fed continuously or intermittently to vary axial spacing between the tool and work until an ideal spacing is reached, before the start of finishing. At a preset axial spacing (a1), excluding two-flank contact between the tool (T) and work (W), residual burr and other irregularities, e.g. bulge upsets (35) are removed from one tooth flank. The direction of rotation is then reversed and the process is repeated on the opposite flank. The tool or work is driven, the other part respectively braked. ADVANTAGE - No tool damage.
