The tooth angle defining the rotation angles for the active flank profiles increases or reduces slightly over part of the tooth width (B) and remains constant and/or changes slightly in the opposite direction in an adjacent part of the tooth width. The teeth (2) have active flanks (5, 6) for engaging with another gear-wheel (1) which have an evolvent or comparable profile (e1) in a curved cross-section for cone-shaped wheels or a first flat cross-section for cylindrical wheels, the profile extending at right angles to the flank. The evolvent or comparable profile (e2) extending at right angles to the flank for each adjacent cross-section is rotated about the wheel rotation axis relative to the first cross-section. This rotation angle is determined by the tooth angle.
