This high-temp. (e.g., 1300 deg.C) pyrolysis reactor for melting industrial waste is a combination of already-known components. It provides environment-friendly and problem-free elimination of the waste (claimed). The fly-ash particles carried by the flue gas are blown into the reactor chamber, melted in the high-temp. zone, mixed with residual fluid slag, and granulated for use as a road-building material (claimed). Variants claimed include the return of hot flue gases into the reactor chamber for pre-drying of the pyrolysis material, so enabling temps. of 1300-1500 deg.C to be reached. USE/ADVANTAGE - Industrial waste, including poisonous waste from the pharmaceutical, chemical and plastics industries, can be destroyed without leaving harmful or inconvenient residues.
