A power lifting unit (1) has two cylindrical metal parts (2,3) with fastener bolts (4) and two elastomer rings (5,6), also elastomer bridges (7,8), joined by adhesive surfaces (9,10,11). The contact surface (12) is non-adhesive. A gas or a hydraulic fluid (15) can be admitted for the power lift through the passage (13) in the chamber (14). The preferred material for the two elastomer systems (5,6) is butyl rubber, nitrile butadiene rubber or silicone rubber. ADVANTAGE - This is a compact space saving unit with little deflection which can be produced at low cost.
