Leisure and work shoe sole permitting easy progress over unstable terrain: desert, sand, snow, marshy ground, etc. Moreover, these soles increase the efficiency of movements in swimming. This invention relates to the technical fields of footwear and of leisure and sports articles. 1) Increase in the surface area bearing on the ground via projecting elements of the order of 400 cm2 per sole, namely an increment, for an average shoe size, in a proportion of 1 to 3 (surface area of a traditional sole 200 cm2, surface area of the novel sole 600 cm2). 2) Increase in the perimeter of the sole; of the order of 280 centimetres, hence a better use of the surface crust of the ground, which itself involves a first reduction of sinking-in and improved horizontal propulsion, thus limiting the efforts required to advance. 3) These two above points, combined with increased flexibility characteristics, improve the efficiency of movements in swimming.
