This machine is noteworthy in that it comprises modular means for supporting the wheel axle in an adjustable position, the said means consisting on the one hand of the bearing elements 12 arranged at their upper part to receive the turbine wheel axle and at their lower part to interact directly or via intermediate elements with support means 11 arranged along each longitudinal side of the tank, and in that the said bearing elements 12 have in their upper part a reference face 12.4 capable of being opposite the electrode-carrying head, allowing support for a first means for preliminary calibration in position of other means adjusted with respect to the said first means and intervening in turn so as suitably and successively to position and immobilize the various buckets of the wheel worked within the context of a machining cycle.
