Device allowing decontamination of any equipment, even bulky equipment, essentially heavy radiological, medical, surgical or laboratory equipment. The invention relates to a device making possible, by the use of ultraviolet light and the ozone produced, a germicidal action which generates better prophylaxis. This device consists of a chamber 1, comprising on the inside a ventilation system 3 intended to agitate the internal air and remove heat, as well as ultraviolet strip lamps 5. The chamber 1 is hermetically closed by doors 2 which allow access and depositing of equipment to be decontaminated inside the chamber 1, and it is equipped with a control unit 4 making it possible to control the various functions, the whole being in accordance with safety standards.
