System for increasing the acceleration of nuclear submarines and surface ships

The invention relates to a system for increasing the acceleration of submarines with nuclear propulsion and surface ships beyond the limiting speed which corresponds to their cross-section and to their shape. It envisages this object by means of a modification made to the ambient medium itself, namely the sea water, in contact with the hull. To this end, water vapour (steam) - or compressed air - is ejected under high pressure along the lower surfaces of the hull, giving rise to a form of emulsion of the water in contact with the hull. This system consists of fine ejection outlets connected to the tanks and to the boilers - or to the compressors - by fine branching ramification mainpipes and masterpipes of significantly greater cross-section. The ejection will be directed not simply towards the rear but also, if need be, downwards so that the lift or buoyancy are still provided and are corrected despite the drop in density brought about in the ambient medium.
