The present invention relates to an apparatus for sorting talc based on the fact that the surfaces of talc particles have a greater aptitude for sliding than the surfaces of the particles of rock. The apparatus according to the invention comprises a primary sorting part A, formed by an inclined plane 2 and a rotary feed device 1 for feeding the ore in, and a secondary sorting part B, formed by an inclined plane 4 for the sorting of the talc and another inclined plane 5 parallel to the previous plane and positioned underneath it, for the sorting of the rocks, these two planes being arranged in the same direction as the inclined plane 2 of the primary sorting part A. The sorting apparatus according to the invention makes it possible, in particular, to sort particles of talc lying in a range of sizes of from 10 to 19 mm, which have been unused hitherto. IMAGE
