A multilayered composite having improved flammability and smoke resistance properties comprising:PP(a) a flame retardant flexible polyimide film facing layer,PP(b) a first high temperature resistance silicone adhesive layer bonded to the polyimide film facing layer,PP(c) a first open cell polyimide foam layer bonded to the first adhesive layer,PP (d) a second high temperature resistance silicone adhesive layer bonded to the first open cell polyimide flame layer,PP(e) a fire retardant flexible silicone sheet rubber layer bonded to the second adhesive layer, PP(f) a third high temperature resistant silicone adhesive layer bonded to the silicone sheet rubber layer, and P P(g) a second open cell polyimide foam layer bonded to the third adhesive layer.
