METHOD FOR TESTING ADEQUACY OF PROPHYLAXIS AND THERAPUTIC AGENT FOR ACUTE CARDIAC INFARCTION

PURPOSE:To enhance testing accuracy and to make the test economical by imparting pressure into the aorta of the extracted heart of a small mammalian animal to which calcium setting calcium medicine and trigger medicine are dosed, injecting trigger medicine, and perfusing the medicine through a coronary. CONSTITUTION:Calcium setting calcium medicine and medicine to be checked are injected into a small mammal animal. The heart of the animal is extracted. Pressure is applied in the aorta of the heart, and trigger medicine is injected and perfused through a coronary. Thus, the reaction of the cardiac muscle of the heart is checked. As the calcium setting calcium medicine, the aqueous solution of calcium which is hardly harmful by itself, i.e. has less toxicity, is used. As the calcium medicine such as this, aqueous solution of calcium chloride is preferable. The trigger medicine is selected among medicines which build up muscle contraction. For example, any of calcium chloride, adrenaline and isoproterenol can be dosed independently as the trigger medicine.
