PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the automatic measurement of reid vapor pressure with high reliability being maintained by using process gas chromatograph (PC), automatically analyzing a component to be measured, and operating the pressure by using the content signal of the component to be measured and the specified expression. CONSTITUTION:At first, a process gas chromatograph (PC) analyzer 1 receives calibrating liquid through a calibrating-liquid inlet port I3 in a sample bulb 11, and the liquid is analyzed. The analyzer 1, a process-gas-chromatograph processor 2 and a microcomputer (MC) 3 are calibrated. Then the analyzer 1 receives a process sample through a process sample inlet port I and the bulb 11 and analyzes the sample. The processor 2 processes the output signal from a detector 15. The MC 3 obtains the reid vapor pressure RVP by the expression based on the content signal S1 of the obtained component to be measured. In the expression, Ri is a reid-vapor-pressure operating coefficient for the low- boiling-point component, and alpha is the reid-vapor-pressure operating coefficient for the high-boiling-point component. In this way, evaporation of the low-boiling- point component can be avoided.
