FLAP BENDING DEVICE AND CARTONING MACHINE USING THE BENDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce manhour for lid closing and make a large scale adjustment unnecessary even when the size of a box body is changed by a method wherein side flaps are bent, flap main part and tip inserting parts of main flaps are bent, and the tip inserting parts are inserted along the other long edges of openings. CONSTITUTION:A cartoning machine (packing device) is equipped with a carrying device 10 which carries a box body 1 in the width direction by holding the box body part, side flap bending devices 12, 14 which bend side flaps 2 of the being carried box body 1, toward the inside of openings, a preliminary bending device 16 which bends tip inserting parts 3a of main flaps 3, and a lid closing device 17 which closes lids by inserting the tip inserting parts 3a of the main flaps 3, which previously have been bent, while bending flap main parts 3b of the main flaps 3. By this method, bending of the side flaps 2 and main flaps 3, or insertion in the openings of the box body can be easily done. Also, adjustment of the device accompanying with a size change of a box body can be easily performed.
