PURPOSE:To produce vibrato tones and to allow the control of the various intensities of performance tones by oscillating plural pieces of reflecting plates juxtaposed with the casing of a piano at interlocking with pedal operations. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of performance tone outlets 4 are provided on a decorative board 3 of the casing 2 of an upright piano 1, etc., and plural pieces of the reflecting plates 5 are oscillatably juxtaposed in the performance tone outlets 4 in the horizontal direction. The tread type pedal 6 which oscillates the reflecting plates 5 is provided in the lower part on the front surface of the casing 2. The reflecting plates 5 and the pedal 6 are connected to each other by link mechanisms 7. A player controls the performance tones by oscillating the reflecting plates 5 in various forms by the operation of the pedal 6. The reflecting plates 5 are frequently oscillated in this way to produce the vibratos. The various intensities of the performance tones are controlled by regulating the opening degrees of the reflecting plates 5 from open to close.
