FILM FOR GLYCOLYTIC INHIBITOR IN BLOOD SUGAR MEASUREMENT AND GLYCOLYTIC INHIBITION USING SAME

PURPOSE:To accomplish measurement of blood sugar accurately without causing hemolysis with the glycolysis of glucose in the blood inhibited, using such a test tube that an aqueous alcoholic solution containing both D-mannose and heparin is warmed and dried therein and a film containing these substances is formed at the bottom thereof. CONSTITUTION:A solution prepared by dissolving a mixture of D-mannose and heparin in an aqueous alcoholic (e.g. ethanol) solution is put into a test tube, and warmed to 35-50 deg.C under normal pressure with the test tube set upright to evaporate the solvent to dryness, thus forming a film consisting of the mixture at the bottom of said test tube. Thence, a blood specimen is then put into the resultant test tube to make an accurate, quick blood test such as the determination of blood sugar or the electrolytes in the blood or a biochemical test with the glycolysis of glucose in the blood inhibited. It is preferable that the concentration of said mixture in the aqueous alcoholic solution be 5-500mg/ml$.
