CONSTITUTION:A circular tank is divided into a large number of chambers using univalent ion permselective anion-, cation-exchange membranes 6, 5 reciprocally and the chambers 1, 2, 3, 4 are filled with 3N NaCl, NaOH, adipic acid, and HCl, respectively. When semi-rotating magnetic field generating apparatus is operated at normal temperature and pressure and to produce a 0.5V potential gradient toward the right between the membranes, Na+ in the chamber 1 and OH- in the chamber 3 move to the chamber 2 and become NaOH and H+ and Cl- in the chamber 3 move to the chamber 4 and become HCl. The produced NaCl are taken out by pumps and at the same time water is supplied to the chamber 2 and the chamber 4 and NaCl as a raw material is circulated in the raw material tank and while keeping concentration balance, the production is carried out.
