PURPOSE:To improve the measuring accuracy of buried depth by finding out the buried depth based on a reflected wave receiving time and finding out the specific inductive capacity of a buried medium and an electromagnetic wave propagation speed in the buried medium based on the buried depth and the reflected wave receiving time. CONSTITUTION:The time T0 of a leading zero crossing point of a reflected wave and the time T1 of a trailing zero crossing point are observed and the wavelength lambda of an apparent reflected wave is found out by a prescribed equation. Thereby, the time Tu of a leading zero crossing point of a real reflected wave is found out by a prescribed equation.
