PURPOSE:To improve speed for transferring electric charges to a floating diffusion by impressing a clock, whose phase is reverse to that of a clock to be impressed to a reset gate, to an output gate. CONSTITUTION:An output gate 3 of a floating diffusion amplifier is driven by the clock whose phase is reverse to the clock of a reset gate 5. Accordingly, without damaging the function of the output gate 3, the potential of a floating diffusion 4 can be set to a reset level or a high potential more than the reset level and the output range of the floating diffusion 4 can be enlarged. Then, potential inclination is enlarged. Thus, the speed of transfer to the floating diffusion 4 is improved.
