PURPOSE:To improve numerical aperture by providing a second lenticular lens sheet having the same pitch as that of a lenticular lens sheet provided at a light incident plane and which emits converged parallel rays at every aperture part as diffused light or the parallel rays. CONSTITUTION:The barrel shape pitches of a first lenticular lens sheet 17 and the second lenticular lens sheet 18 coincide with the pitches of row electrodes 151-153 (i.e., longitudinal pitch of aperture part). The optical paths of incident parallel linearly polarized light are bent at every aperture part with the first lenticular lens sheet 17 as shown in beams alpha10, alpha20, alpha30, beta20, and beta30, and are made incident on the second lenticular sheet 18 without being blocked with black matrices 141-143, the wiring patterns of the row electrodes 151-153, a TFT and an auxiliary capacitor not shown in figure, and the optical paths of them are bent again with the second lenticular lens sheet 18 at every aperture part, and are emitted as parallel linearly polarized light.
