PURPOSE:In a pitch control device of variable pitch propeller for an aircraft, to improve the control response by controlling the operation of a fluid pressure actuator with an electronic controlled flow control valve provided between a pressure source and the fluid pressure actuator. CONSTITUTION:The operation of an electromagnetic flow control valve 23 is controlled with an electronic control device 20 depending upon using conditions varying successively. And the electromagnetic flow control valve 23 controls the operation of an oil hydraulic cylinder 31. Thereby no other control valve is needed, the structure can be simplified and the piping between an oil pump 21 and the oil hydraulic cylinder 31 can be shortened to improve the control response.
