PURPOSE:To improve a recording quality by correction-controlling charge of an injecting ink droplet to be controlled obtained by weight-calculating based on printing ratio tending to mainly depend more upon a vicinity correction amount when the printing ratio of a print presence/absence pattern is low. CONSTITUTION:A print presence/absence pattern Pi of an ink droplet dn in predetermined vicinity of an ink droplet do to be controlled is detected, and an injecting ink droplet is charge correction-controlled with a charge correction amount Ac obtained by weight-calculating based on a printing ratio D tending to more depend upon a remote consideration correction amount Acf(pi) mainly when the printing ratio D of the print presence/absence pattern is high and upon a vicinity correction amount Azn(pi) mainly when the ratio D is low by using the vicinity correction amount Acn(pi) corresponding to the print presence/ absence pattern Pi of the detected ink droplet and a remote consideration correction amount Acf(pi) corresponding to the similar print presence/absence pattern. Thus, an effect equivalent to the correction considered for substantially more reference ink droplets can be obtained even in case of the charge correction considering for less reference ink droplets.
