PURPOSE: To attain aliquot easily and accurately by bringing an excess amount of material into contact with the prescribed surface area of a gel body, diffusingly-transferring the material in the gel body, removing the material which will not diffuse from the surface after a prescribed time, and diffusingly- distributing the transferred material in the gel body. CONSTITUTION: A support 11 has a flat and rectangular shape and is formed with a reservoir 12 filled with gel 13 including a reagent. The support is constituted of plastic material or glass. The reservoir 12 is, for example, 1mm in depth and 8mm in diameter, and has its center on the support 11 at a suitable position where the gel crosses the light beam of an appropriate photometer or the like. The reservoir 12 is filled with the gel 13 up to its surface so as to bring it into contact fully with a supplied liquid sample. An object to be analyzed is then diffused directly into the gel body by a capillary action including the sample. By removing the material which is not diffused from the surface after a prescribed time, and diffusingly-distributing the transferred material in the gel body, it is possible to attain aliquot easily.
