SCAN TIME CONTROLLER OF SCAN TYPE COPYING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To fix an accurate position of a picture on the paper by controlling both the start of scan and the scan time of an original by the signal sent from a paper sensor set on a feed path for coy paper in case the copying surface of the original has no coincidence with a prescribed size. CONSTITUTION:A start switch is pushed after the copy of a special size is designated from the operation panel of a copying machine, and the feed of the copy paper is started. However a carriage 16 has no shift. Then the copy paper reaches a paper sensor 13 and energizes the sensor 13, and this energization of the sensor is transmitted to a main control part 18 for copying machine and a scan time controller 17. Receiving the signal, the controller 17 calculates the difference between the time needed for transfer of the copy paper sent at a prescribed speed to a transferring position B from the sensor 13 and the time needed for transfer of the surface of a photosensitive body to the position B from an image forming position A. Then the carriage 16 starts the scan of the original on a platen when the time corresponding to said calculated difference is elapped after the copy paper reaches the sensor 13.
