PURPOSE:To determine a parameter by mounting a reduced number of sensors by calculating the mass and spring constant of a structure from the resonance point and anti-resonance point obtained from the response data due to a drive source applied to the structure. CONSTITUTION:Exciting force is applied to the arbitrary mass part of a structure constituting a multiple degree-of-freedom vibration system, wherein mechanical behavior can be regarded so that a plurality of springs and masses are alternately subjected to cascade connection, excepting both end parts thereof by an exciter 3. Next, the displacement quantities of the structure 1 are detected on both left and right sides of the part to which vibration is applied on the structure by sensors 4, 5 and resonance frequency and anti-resonance frequency are detected from the detection data. Subsequently, a pole and a zero point are calculated from the resonance frequency and the anti-resonance frequency in a pole and zero point detecting function 9 and a spring constant and mass are calculated as the reverse problem of the inherent value problem in vibration analysis by a parameter determining function 10 to determine a parameter.
