PURPOSE:To obtain lead perovskite powder having excellent homogeneity and particles size characteristics, by dispersing specific compound powder in a precipitating process by a wet multistage precipitation method to form mixed precipitates and calcining the resultant precipitates. CONSTITUTION:(a) A mixed solution of a Pb compound and a Zr compound is mixed with aqueous ammonia to coprecipitate the Pb component and Zr component. A solution of a Ti compound is then mixed to precipitate the Ti component. Alternatively, (b) a solution of a Ti component is mixed with aqueous ammonia to precipitate the Ti component and then the resultant precipitates are mixed with a mixture solution of the Pb compound and Zr compound to coprecipitate the Pb component and Zr component. Either one of the wet multistage precipitation methods is adopted to disperse, mix and precipitate the required total amount of the compound powder of (Q) and (R) in the formula or compound powder in 2 or 3 divided portions in an optional stage of the precipitating process. The resultant precipitates are dried and calcined at 400-1,300 deg.C to afford the aimed lead perovskite solid solution powder.
