摘要

NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula (glu is beta-glucopyranosyl group). USE:A carcinostatic agent. PREPARATION:The compound of formula can be produced e.g. by (1) dissolving whole saponin of Gynostemma pentaphyllum containing 2-alpha-hy droxyprotopanaxadiol saponin as main component in an aqueous solution of dihydrogen sodium phosphate or 4.0 pH, (2) stirring the mixture in the presence of a cellulase at 37 deg.C for 24hr, (3) stirring for 6 days after the addition of aque ous methanol and cellulase, (4) passing the reaction liquid through an adsorbent column, (5) eluting the adsorbed component with methanol and (6) purifying the eluate by silica gel column chromatography.
