SELF-PROPELLED TRACK COMPACTING MACHINE WITH COMPACTING EQUIPMENT ADJUSTABLE IN TRANSVERSAL AND VERTICAL DIRECTIONS

摘要

PURPOSE: To easily and exactly perform tamping by mounting a tamping device assembly at the outside on a tool frame pivotally moving to a side around a vertical axial center for a machine frame so as to be displaceable in a traverse direction. CONSTITUTION: When a normal track area is tamped, a tool carrier 28 mounted on a machine frame 9 is rotated around a vertical axial center 41 under power of a driving part 40. By operations of driving parts 47, 48, devices 45, 46 are displaced in a traverse direction and tamping devices 19, 20 of tamping device assemblies 15, 16 at the inside are placed at the inside of rails 5, 6. After tamping device assemblies 14, 17 at the outside are displaced to a side together with pivotally moving frames 26, 27 till tamping devices 18, 20 are placed at the outside of the rails 5, 6 by operations of driving parts 22, 23, the tamping devices 18, 20 are lowered into gravel. Further, when the machine 1 reaches a branch track, tamping is performed after the assembly 17 is displaced to a side together with the tool frame 27.
