NEW MATERIAL:A DNA coding ferredoxin FdI originated from corn and expressed by the 53rd to 150th amino acid sequence in the formula. USE:Production of ferredoxin participating in the reaction accompanying electron transfer in living body. PREPARATION:Corn grain is sowed and grown for 4 days in dark place and then for 2-3 days in a green house under natural light. The green leaves of the corn are collected, ground with a mortar in liquid nitrogen and mRNA is separated from the ground product by conventional process. A cDNA synthesized by using the mRNA as a template is linked to a vector and E.coli is transformed with the product to prepare a cDNA library. The library is screened and a positive clone is selected. A phage DNA is extracted from the clone and treated with a restriction enzyme to obtain a DNA coding ferredoxin FdI originated from corn.
