ROAD PAVEMENT MATERIALS WITH NATURAL COLOR AND ITS PAVEMENT

PURPOSE:To keep the natural color and increase water permeability, by mixing aggregate, in which specified size-distribution coarse and fine aggregate composed of sandy materials of crushed stones and gravels are mixed in a specified ratio, with a binder having a mineral oil base. CONSTITUTION:Coarse aggregate 1 composed of sandy materials such as crushed stones and gravels having screen diameter specified by at least 5mm is mixed with several % or less of fine aggregate 2 composed of sandy materials or stone dusts specified by at most 5mm with a specified ratio thereof. Next, a thermoplastic material made of aliphatic petroleum resin and synthetic rubber are mixed with a mineral oil base as a binder 3 with a specified mixing ratio of about 30%, 70%, and 2-3% respectively. In this case, it is preferable that the coarse aggregate 1 has a size distribution of 95-100% by weight of 13mm screen-undersizes and further the fine aggregate 2 has a size-distribution of 30-46% by weight of 5mm screen-undersizes and also has several to ten percent in weight of 2.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.3mm, 0.15mm, and 0.074mm screen-undersizes respectively.
