STABILIZING METHOD OF OSCILLATION WAVELENGTH OF SEMICONDUCTOR LASER AND STABILIZING EQUIPMENT OF OSCILLATION WAVELENGTH OF SEMICONDUCTOR LASER

PURPOSE:To realize small-sized equipment, and improve the accuracy of stabilization and the long tem stability by using isotope substituting acetylene molecule as light absorbing medium. CONSTITUTION:For stabilizing the oscillation wavelength of a semiconductor laser, gas containing isotope substituting acetylene molecule like 13C2H2, C2HD, 13C2HD is used. The emitted light 16 from a semiconductor laser 11 is made to pass a light absorbing gas cell 12 in which gas containing 13C2H2 gas molecule is sealed, and a sharp absorption line is generated at a specified wavelength in the wavelength range of 1.52-1.55mum. After the emitted light 17 from the light absorbing gas cell 12 is detected and converted into an electric signal by a photo detector 13, said signal is transmitted to a controlling circuit 14, and finally introduced into a driving current terminal 15 of the semiconductor laser 11, as the change of driving current. Hence the oscillation wavelength of the semiconductor laser 11 is slightly changed; the oscillation wavelength is made to resonate to the sharp absorption line at the specified wavelength generated by the light absorbing gas cell 12 in which gas containing 13C2H2 gas component is sealed; thereby the oscillation wavelength is stabilized.
