PURPOSE:To provide a repellent having great effect on dogs, cats. rats, etc., and safe to the human body, containing, as active ingredients, an odor modifier having such effects as to remove or modify the body smell, excreta smell, feed smell, etc., of birds and beasts and an organoleptic agent giving stimuli on their skin, mucous membrane, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective repellent containing, as active ingredients, (A) an odor modifier having such effects as to remove or modify the body smell, excreta smell, feed smell, living environment smell, etc., of birds and beasts (e.g. cineole, mimosa tannin) and (B) an organoleptic agent giving stimuli on their skin, mucous membrane, etc., capable of sensing tastes, odors, irritation, etc., (e.g. nonyl alcohol, cinnamaldehyde). The present repellent has mentally, psychologically repellent effects by changing the atmosphere of animal living environment by the action of the component A and also has physiologically repellent effects by stimulating their sense of touch, taste, smell, etc., by the action of the component B; furthermore, these effects being persistent for a considerably long period of time.
