PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a biaxial freedom-degree gyroscope by forming first and second flexible members with parts which are held between terminal- part slots of the flexible members of an outer tube and an inner tube that are close to each other. CONSTITUTION:Terminal slots 22, 23, 32 and 33 are formed on the circumferential surface of an outer-tube flexible member 11 by wire discharging. The slots 22 and 23 and the slots 32 and 33 are provided at the neighboring positions at an equal interval on the circumferential surface in a recess pattern. Flexible parts 14 are formed between the slots 22 and 23 and between the slots 32 and 33. Furthermore, the slots 22 and 32 communicate with the other slots 23 and 33 which are separated by 180 degrees with a rotary axial line as the center through lower and upper slots 19 and 18. In the same way, slots 2, 3, 12 and 13 are formed in an inner-flexible member 1. Flexible parts 4 are formed between the slots 2 and 3 and between the slots 12 and 13. The slots 2 and 3 communicate with the slots 12 and 13 respectively through lower and upper slots 9 and 8. The performance can be improved by manufacturing the apparatus in this way by the wire discharging.
