PURPOSE:To improve the tuning property of a biaxial freedom-degree gyroscope by forming the noncircular holes of the flexible members of an outer tube and an inner tube so that the lengths of first and second flexible parts in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is shorter than the lengths in the direction which is in parallel with the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:An inner-tube flexible member 1 is inserted into the inside of an outer- tube flexible member 11 in a concentric pattern. The member 1 and the member 11 have the common rotary axial line Z. A flexible part 14 of the member 11 and a flexible part 4 of the member 1 form right angles with the axial line Z. The angles of the members 1 and 11 can be displaced around the axial line passing the intersecting part between the part 14 and the part 4, i.e. the parts can be deflected. The rotors of the parts 14 and 4 can be inclined in the direction perpendicular to the rotary axis, i.e. the parts can be displaced in two axes. In the flexible coupling type supporting apparatus formed in this way, noncircular holes 12 and 13 forming the part 14 have the semi-circular shape. Therefore, the length in the direction of the axial line Z can be shortened by the diameter of one circular hole in comparison with an apparatus wherein the flexible part is formed of the circular hole. Thus the tuning property of a biaxial freedom-degree gyroscope can be improved.
