AGENT FOR CONTROLLING NOXIOUS SOIL NEMATODE

PURPOSE:To provide the titled controlling agent exhibiting excellent effect for controlling noxious soil nematodes at a low dose without damaging the crops, and having especially excellent effect in the form of granule, by using a specific thiolcarbamate ester compound as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The agent contains the thiolcarbamate ester compound of formula (R is straight chain ethyl, propyl or butyl), e.g. S-methyl-N-methyl-N-ethyl thiolcarbamate, as an active component. The above compound is mixed with various carriers, and prepared in the form of granule, oil solution, emulsion, etc. by conventional presticide preparation process. The content of the active component is preferably 5-30% in the form of granule, and 5-90% in the form of oil solution or emulsion. The rate of application is preferably 2kg of the active component per 10 are. The compound of formula can be prepared, e.g. by reacting the corresponding secondary amine with carbonyl sulfide, and reacting the resultant carbamate salt with methyl chloride or dimethyl sulfate.
