SHORT FIBER-RUBBER COMPOSITE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composite excellent in breaking strength and fatigue characteristics by dispersing a PVA short fiber subjected to a specified treatment in a rubber composition. CONSTITUTION:A short PVA (e.g. PVA) fiber pretreated with a silane coupling agent (e.g. gamma-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane) is dispersed by kneading in, for example, a rubber compound (e.g. a compound comprising chloroprene rubber, carbon, oil, stearic acid, MgO, ZnO, an antioxidant and a vulcanization accelerator) and vulcanized to obtain the subject composite composed of a dispersion of the short fiber in the rubber composition.
