METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING IDENTITY OF NONCONTACT IC CARD

PURPOSE:To surely discriminate the identity of a noncontact IC card inserted into a card reader/writer by reading out control data again prior to the access of control data stored in the IC card and comparing both the check sum codes of the read control data and read control data. CONSTITUTION:A device for discriminating the identity of a noncontact IC card is constituted of a noncontact IC card 1, a driver part (card reader/writer) 2, a CPU board 3, and a command output part 4. Prior to the access of control data stored in the IC card 1, the controller 3 allows the card reader/writer 2 to read out the control data again from the IC card 1 and compares the check sum code of the read control data with the corresponding check sum code of the read control data. Consequently, the identity of the noncontact IC code inserted into the card reader/writer 2 can surely be discriminated.
