SURFACE MODIFICATION OF INORGANIC FLAME-RETARDANT

PURPOSE:To raise temperature of use of flame-retardant and to improve compatibility thereof by adsorbing an orientated adsorbing nonpolar hydrocarbon-based compound and a semi-polar organic boron compound, etc., as a mixed film on the surface of metallic compound hydrate. CONSTITUTION:(A) An orientated adsorbing nonpolar hydrocarbon-based compound such is fatty acids, higher alcohol or ester and (B) a semi-polar organic boron compound and/or a reaction product of the compound and a chlorine nitrogen-containing nitrogen compound as a fixed film are simultaneously adsorbed on the surface of metallic compound hydrate to modify the surface of inorganic flame-retardant.
