PURPOSE:To obtain excellent color reproducibility by selecting a specific dye for the three primary colors to form a thermal transfer sheet. CONSTITUTION:A hue near to ideal yellow can be obtained by employing C.I. Disperse Yellow 201 as a dye of a yellow hue used in a thermal transfer sheet. As a dye of a magenta hue, a hue near to ideal magneta ink can be obtained by mixing 10-70 wt.% of C.I. Disperse Red 164, 10-80 wt.% of C.I. Disperse red 348 and 5-50 wt.% of C.I. Disperse Violet 26. Further, as a dye of a cyan hue, a hue near to ideal cyan ink can be obtained by mixing 10-70 wt.% of C.I. Solvent Blue 63, 10-60 wt.% of C.I. Disperse Blue 354 and 5-40 wt.% of a dye represented by formula (I).
